Don't get me wrong, I want to see everyone treated and represented fairly, but it feels as if everyone's trying a bit too hard. I sometimes joke that Skyfall is the most politically-correct Bond film - a young female black agent, a female M, gay villain... Nothing wrong with any of that but it does smack a bit of counting the coloured faces in posters (which happens).

When people say "It's time for a female president / Dr Who / Bond whatever" it doesn't sound as if they're saying "X would be the best person for the role" but "it's the right thing to do".

Has the villain in the 2nd frame trodden in some gum?

no, just shoddy colouring-in....

Good job BTW - wonderful caricature. (not sure the flowers do clash, but I'm not that picky)

I'm more concerned about his hair, which I think clashes more with the curtains. But hey, what do I know.

The hair was a perfect touch. That was the number one indicator of the villainy within.

I guess if somebody asked "Pick two colours that don't go together" I might struggle and seek refuge next to a colourwheel.

But I never understood where the traditional taboo of blue and green (should-never-be-seen) should have come about, because it's something we tend to see in nature! (landscapes typically, blue sky, green fields/trees)

The most dastardly Bond villain yet!! I can almost hear James as he screams in agony! :) I totally agree about the PC thing. Whenever I draw a cartoon the first thing that comes to mind is...will it offend someone? I then bypass that thought and draw it anyway. :) People are so uptight these days. There's no humor in anything..just potential anger. Sad.

Peahen and I have spoken about potential offence a few times. Concensus seems to be that some will get offended what-ever. You might as well stay true to your initial message and be damned!

I'm of the opinion that you should be able to say almost anything if it's done correctly.

I agree.

Made me giggle. I don't know why but I also like the image of 007 being interrogated in someone's living room, like if the next Bond film had Eastenders' budget

I have seen some evil in my life, but this form of torture is a crime against humanity!
